A recent leak from Genshin Impact has surfaced, showcasing early game footage revealing the original animations of characters Fischl and Childe during their development phase. Fischl was part of the initial lineup released in version 1.0 in September 2020. In the leak, old animations for Fischl showed her using elements from other characters in her abilities. For instance, her Elemental Burst transformed her into an Electro field dealing area-of-effect damage, similar to Lisa's Lightning Rose. Additionally, her Charged Attack displayed her summoning Diluc's Pyro phoenix. These animations were considered placeholders, leading to speculation that initially, her loyal companion Oz might have been tied to her Charged Attack. Although the leaked footage of Fischl lacked certain elements present in her current kit, her overall model appeared to be finished. On the other hand, Childe's leaked animations displayed an incomplete color palette, differing significantly from his released version. Some fans observed difficulties in Childe resetting after completing his Normal Attack sequence. Excitement among fans stemmed from the observation that Childe's attacks in the leaked footage appeared to be infused with Electro damage, despite his Hydro Vision. Speculation arose that these powers might be linked to a Delusion granted by the Fatui. A reputable leaker named Ubatcha clarified that although Childe's attacks seemed to have Electro elements, they actually applied Hydro damage. Fans noted the potential synergy between Childe and Fischl in triggering the Electro-Charged elemental reaction, dealing Electro damage over time and spreading to wet enemies nearby. This leak provides a glimpse into the early development phases of these characters and sheds light on the creative process behind their abilities in Genshin Impact.
