Bandai Namco just dropped two new gameplay trailers for Tekken 8, featuring the returning characters Panda and Alisa Bosconovitch. Both Panda and Alisa will be playable in the game's launch roster, and fans are eager to see how these classic characters have evolved. Panda first appeared in Tekken 3 as a palette swap for another bear fighter, Kuma. Since then, she's been a part of every Tekken game, earning her own character slot from Tekken Tag Tournament 2 onward. Alisa, an android resembling Dr. Bosconovitch's late daughter, made her debut in Tekken 6. Both characters have ties to Ling Xiaoyu in non-canon material. The trailers showcase the fighting styles of Panda and Alisa. Panda shares a moveset with Kuma, emphasizing strikes from a distance due to their longer limbs. Panda incorporates some moves from her friend Ling Xiaoyu, with a cute pre-match animation. On the other hand, Alisa, a robotic fighter, wields chainsaws, jetpack wings, and even her own head. Her unique moves, including a comedic yet powerful Rage Art finishing move, have excited fans. Here's the confirmed list of Tekken 8 characters:

  • Alisa Bosconovich
  • Asuka Kazama
  • Azucena Ortiz
  • Bryan Fury
  • Claudio Serafino
  • Devil Jin
  • Feng Wei
  • Hwoarang
  • Jack-8
  • Jin Kazama
  • Jun Kazama
  • Kazuya Mishima
  • King
  • Kuma
  • Lars Alexandersson
  • Lee Chaolan
  • Leo Kliesen
  • Leroy Smith
  • Lili
  • Ling Xiaoyu

  • Panda
  • Paul Phoenix
  • Raven
  • Reina
  • Sergei Dragunov

While Alisa's return is well-received, Panda's inclusion has sparked some debate. Sharing moves with Kuma has led some to view her as redundant, lacking variance in their movesets. Despite this, some fans are still excited to play as Tekken 8's bear fighters and android girl.
